William Ryall in WHY CAN’T I WALK AWAY? My 34 Years On Broadway, The Good, The Bad & The Wicked
January 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

William Ryall is a veteran of 15 Broadway shows and his cabaret act entitled WHY CAN’T I WALK AWAY? My 34 Years On Broadway (The Good, The Bad, & The Wicked) is an evening of song and comedy chronicling his quest to work on The Great White Way with tales of the shows, stars, directors, he has worked with along the way. His journey includes incredible highs and devastating lows with a resume that ranges from the mega-hit WICKED to major flop THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE GOES PUBLIC and everything in between. With the persistence and fortitude needed to sustain a career in the theater he simultaneously charts the ups and downs of his personal life with stories of love, betrayal, and ultimately happiness. He includes excerpts from some of his favorite Broadway shows as well as one or two of the flops. TV audiences may know him as Mr. Hefty, the formidable butler to Lady Astor (Broadway star Donna Murphy) on the HBO Series THE GILDED AGE. Theater and Cabaret critics have described him as “…tall as Tommy Tune, as lantern jawed as Jack Palance, and as agile as Fred Astaire.” (Tampa Tribune) “…this is a man bursting with talent, who has burnished that talent till it fairly glows.” (Theatermania) “…he fills a stage with as much talent and pizazz as the place will hold.” (Cabaret Scenes) “…the proverbial bundle of talent…he’s dynamic about every aspect of his journey.” (Backstage) “William Ryall sings stirringly!” (Howard Kissel, NY Daily News
