Sonnets and The Self

‘Sonnets and The Self’ @ FLY NYC.
A POETIC FUSION OF BEBOP AND THE BARD.
Sonnets are for Big Feelings, Kites let us fly without Ceilings!
Let ‘Carlotta-B-from-1593’ clownish chanteuse & expert on Elizabethan nonsense syllables- take you through Shakespeare’s sonnets with the help of a Bebop Band!
Sonnets are for big feelings; Carlotta will use the Sonnet to expound on the higher virtues in life – such as jealousy, greed, sleep and death. Then she will tackle the tangled web of life’s intriguing mysteries – such as beauty, love and loss.
Shakespearean Cabaret invites you into a world of Elizabethan Bebop unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.
