SUMMARY:It's Not About Me
DESCRIPTION:Since 2014\, Susan Gregory has entertained\, moved and (she’s been told) motivated audiences to pursue their dreams by sharing her life story on the Triad stage in her one-woman musicals Am I There Yet? and So What If I Crawled Backwards! \nNow she’s back. And this time\, it’s not about her! You’re still going to laugh\, probably cry a little\, and be thoroughly entertained — but this time\, with the help of Bistro Award-winning Musical Director Daryl Kojak and an amazing band\, it’s simply about performing great songs (old\, new\, Broadway\, rock)\, telling some stories (mostly about other people)\, having some fun\, and – most of all – continuing to make the audience feel emotion! \nSo\, put down the earbuds\, the phone and the news . . . and come to the cabaret! \nThe Triad Theater\, 158 West 72nd Street\n212-362-2590 \nHOME

SUMMARY:Wasted Girl
DESCRIPTION:Me. A haunted cabaret stage. A violin. A perversion of classical music. A coffin built for two…\nAfter bringing such uniquely sinister and sultry shows as Ghosts of Weimar Past and Phantoms of the Cabaret to NYC’s iconic cabaret stomping ground Don’t Tell Mama\, Chanteuse/Composer Artemisia LeFay is back at this theatre (and back to her spectral shenanigans) with a brand new show of all original songs. Named after her in-the-works debut album WASTED GIRL\, Artemisia LeFay\, alongside pianist Renée Guerrero\, violinist Khullip Jeung & singer Hannah Mount\, will lead the audience through a meandering melange of melodies borne of the imagination of fräulein LeFay\, learning of the strange and true stories that inspired them. Artemisia believes in the resurrection of the vintage sound\, and hopes the attending of the show\, that you shall too.

SUMMARY:Ann Kittredge's Romantic Notions
DESCRIPTION:For the follow up to her award-winning debut album re-IMAGINE\, Ann Kittredge wanted her new album\, Romantic Notions\, to be even more diverse and ambitious\, featuring a wider display of rhythms and sentiments. She has brought her most recent album to life\, receiving rave reviews at the premiere at Birdland earlier this year. \nAlthough you’ll find a few of the requisite love songs\, the title is meant to be far more catholic and all-encompassing. Besides the basic tropes of love\, Ann gives musical voice to the seesawing emotional underpinnings that fuel\, and sometimes dismantle\, relationships. There are songs by recognized giants from Pop (Stevie Wonder\, Bob Dylan\, Carole King Jimmy Webb\, and Billy Joel\,) as well as formidable figures from the world of Country music (John Prine\, Jon Vezner and Don Henry) and\, in one instance\, a less well known but stellar contributor from the pop music canon (Darnell White). All of these writers have been treated with Ann’s unwavering musical sensitivity\, respect – and the unmistakable inevitability of artistry and talent. Marilyn Lester of NiteLife Exchange called it a “Thrilling show!” and “This the singer delivered with a natural grace and authenticity tinged with a terrific sense of humor and humility. Kittredge is also blessed with a clear\, operatic-style soprano that adjusts perfectly to pop and standards with range. A pop tune\, “Didn’t We\,” written in 1967 by Jimmy Webb (listen to the first recording by James Darren) and now a modern standard\, was sung with an achingly intimate take.”
