Rita Hayworth The Heat Is On! Audience Testimonials

The New York Post said, “you don’t even have to squint to see that Rita’s in the room.” NY 1, Stephanie Simon,“Quinn Lemley was born to play legend Hayworth”

Known as “The Love Goddess” in the noir classic, Gilda, performing the iconic tease, “Put The Blame On Mame.” The hottest sex symbol of the ’40’s, courted by the world’s most powerful men, Orson Welles, Prince Aly Khan, Howard Hughes, co-stars Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly. 20 hits from her life & career, Long Ago & Far Away, Bewitched, Zip from iconic films, Pal Joey, Cover Girl, You Were Never Lovelier performed by Lemley, who has an uncanny resemblance to Hayworth. Producer Paul Horton produced Rita Hayworth The Heat Is On! in performing arts centers with big band arrangements from “The Golden Age of Hollywood” by Tedd Firth. After Covid, Paul wanted to bring Rita back to the intimate setting where it all began! Backed by a quartet under the music direction of Tom Wilson. Costumes by Wendall Goings with handcrafted shoes by Michael Troy Brown. Carter Inskeep has updated the script emphasizing Hayworth’s journey from “Goddess to Bombshell”, “Me Too Movement,” in spite of all odds thru a humorous heartfelt story of a woman who stepped into her power and lit up the world.

“Impossible for another singer-actress with the talent, vivaciousness, and sensuality to pull it off.”-
